I’m trying to find out the pros and cons of Invisalign? I read somewhere (maybe online) that they make you talk funny. Is that true? How long does that last? Do you know if they hurt when you get them at first? Are they annoying for eating and drinking?

Most patients love Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign actually has one of the highest patient satisfaction rates in the entire field of dentistry. Although, they are not for everyone. In some cases, teens they aren’t ideal candidates unless their teeth have fully erupted. Also, teenagers sometimes have problems following the dentist’s instructions.
The Invisalign aligners may feel snug at first and then over the course of the two weeks before the next set is ready, they loosen. Invisalign should not be painful. But the clear plastic aligners do need to apply pressure to the teeth to move them into their correct position.
As for talking or sounding funny, that is pretty rare. But if you have any issues, just discuss them with your dentist.
As for the benefits, there are many things that patients rave about. For example, the `1alginers are invisible so no one will know you are wearing them. They are simple to remove to eat and drink and Invisalign straightens teeth much faster than conventional braces.
If your dentist determines that you are a good Invisalign candidate, just be sure to follow the instructions to a tee. You will love how your smile looks after your teeth are straight.
Cosmetic dentists have a more artistically-inclined perspective, so Invisalign from an experience cosmetic dentist is a good idea. It would be good to start off with a consultation from a well-respected dentist that has done this many times instead of believing something you found online.
Best of luck!
