I love how my smile looks after Invisalign treatment! It has been four months and the dentist has me using retainers still. But without getting into too much detail, I’m not happy with the dentist anymore. So I want to try a new one. Do I have to stay with the same dentist that I originally did Invisalign with? Or can I choose someone new?

From an ethical point of view, your original Invisalign dentist has an ethical obligation to provide you with a smooth transition to your new dentist. So there should be absolutely no issue in continuing treatment at a new dentist. Even if you were still in the middle of your Invisalign treatment, there really should be no issue.
If for some reason your dentist doesn’t follow that ethical code, it still shouldn’t be a problem. The new dentist should be able to create new retainers for you without needing too much information from the original dentist. At most, it would require a new impression of your teeth be taken.
It is great to hear that you are pleased with your results. Invisalign has one of the highest patient satisfaction records of any treatment.
